After a conversation with Tom about the video work from last project he suggested I should think about projection to use the video images in a more immersive way and for them to become part if a sculpture.
I feel inspired by this suggestion.
Even the word projection gives me lots of ideas about art/ objects/ emotions.
The idea we project our emotions onto others. Or as I've been working a lot in the cemetary, making prints and taking videos and being in a state of grief the word projection is like a ghost an illusion or something pushed ahead into the future.
So a bit of research of how others are using projection. A museum projecting fabric design onto a plain white dress in order to show a variety of designs over one garment. So it serves as a practical solution but also visually is striking as it has to be in a dark room and has an element of theater and trickery around it.

I've been running dresses through the printing press. I like working with dresses as they are very emotive and story telling to me. This gives me the idea to project the rubbings I've been making onto fabric or project the dress prints onto fabric. Some kind of transformation or transference. I'm not sure yet. I'll figure it out though.
