Easter

 Bringing back the fox head from last project. Easter is coming and thinking about the symbolism of jesus/ Christian faith and the pagan roots of Easter. 

I made this photo at rock cemetery where I've been doing lots of primary research and visual work.

I like this, it's funny, a lot of Easter symbolism we see in the mainstream is very child like and focus of animals and spring time and all very sweet and has  become a holiday about food and indulgence, much like Christmas and moves away from the harrowing images of jesus being crucified and rising from the dead which is all pretty gothic. But of course symbolism to the rebirth of spring after the death of Easter. Simple idea complicated by religion in my opinion.

Anyway just some fun playing around with that idea.
